Scamming Awareness

While scrolling through an awesome new AJ blog that I found, Animal Jam Parade, I found a page that is all about scamming. A lot of people are not aware of scamming so I wanted to let you know about it, in case you don't know too much about it already. Click here for AJ Parade's page about scamming.

What is scamming?

Scamming is something that mean Jammers do to get the items they want. They will say they will give you an item for another item but they really won't. This is why there is a trade system!

How do scammers scam?

This is a list of the most common ways that people scam.

1. The Sending Scam: If you see someone in Jamaa Township saying something like "Send me a rare and I will send you a glove," it is most likely a scam. Do NOT do it, you don't want to risk a scam. There is trading for a reason.

2. The Pillow/Paw Plot: If someone says anything like "Come to my den to change the color of your glove," it is also a scam. If you do go to their den, there might be a pillow in the bottom left part of the bottom of their den. They'll tell you to continuously click it. When you do, they will make you a bad trade and the place that you click will be the yes button for the trade. Evil, I know.

3. The Decline Trade Deception: This one I see a lot! People will be in Jamaa and say something like "I will decline all trades, even the rare ones!" If you try it, which you shouldn't, the person will accept and you will no longer have a rare.

4. The Broken Trade Blackmail: A lot of jammers will say that their trade system is working, so you will have to send them the items. This is probably a scam, but it just might be true. Sometimes the trade system will glitch and it will not work, but not very often. When it is a scam, you will send them your rare and boom it's gone!

5. The Contest Cheat: "Send me the BEST rare. Whoever sends me the best will get a [rare item]" Scam alert! Don't do it; there will never in a million years be a winner.

There are many other ways to scam, but these are the main ones.
